A Somali anti-fundamentalist group called Ahlu Sunnah Waljama'ah has claimed killing over 188 Al-Shabab militants in Gurael and Deiof areas, in northern Somalia. Meanwhile, the commander of the Ethiopian forces in Somalia has said that the Ethiopian army based in Mogadishu has successfully completed transporting its military hardware to Baidoa. [Kefelegn] Ahlu Sunnah Waljama'ah is an organization, which was formed a year ago in Somalia, which strongly opposes fundamentalist and terrorist groups like Al-Shabab. In a military communique issued today by the top leadership of the organization, said that the organization launched an attack against the Al-Shabab group, which in the past five days had been actively engaged against the Islamic norms by desecrating holy Muslim sites and destroying grave yards of Somali Muslim leaders in various parts of Somalia, have killed over 188 Al-Shabab militants and captured heavy and light types of arms.
Adding the statement said the Al-Shabab group, which had been cheating the Somali people by saying that it was struggling for the freedom of religion of the Somali people, will not have any role in the political or religious sectors in Somalia. more..http://www.individual.com/story.php?story=94343877
