In a smartly arranged ceremony at General Kaahiye Police training school, the former Somali Police commissioner General Ali Mohamed Loyaan has officially handed over the responsibilities as the Somali police commissioner to his deputy Brigadier Osman Omar Wehliye.
In the ceremony there were top government officials including ministers, lawmakers and other officials from the different governmental institutions.
In the ceremony General Loyaan has briefly talked about the achievements he has made during his term in office.
“This is not my first time of becoming the Somali Police commissioner and again losing the rank, and this is actually how a governmental system works one can be appointed and at the same time loss rank, and if I concisely talk about the achievements which we have made during my term as the Commander of the Somali Police Force are; first we have made secure the government controlled areas and there are no longer police personnel randomly strolling on the streets, as it used to be happen during the time of the former Police commanders” said General Ali Looyan.
After his first termination as the Police Chief General Ali Loyaan was appointed as the Somali ambassador to Tanzania, and during his time as the Somali ambassador to Tanzania he has succeeded releasing Somalis detained in Tanzanian jails.
Ali lost his position as the commander of the Somali Police Chef in a decree from the office of the Somali president Sheikh Shariff Sheikh Ahmed.
Somali is a country without a string command, and has been in anarchy for the past 20 years.
