MOGADISHU — A suicide car bomb exploded Monday at a Somali government security camp in Mogadishu, causing an unknown number of casualties, a security official told AFP.
"A suicide attacker detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at the Darwish camp," a base used by police units near the capital's seaport, security official Mohamed Ali said.
He said the blast, which was heard across several Mogadishu neighbourhoods, had caused some casualties but he could not say how many.

A suicide bomber has detonated an explosives-laden car at a police station in Mogadishu, killing at least eight people and wounding 35.
The car exploded only 10 metres (32 feet) in front of a security gate of a training station for government troops.
